Black Rock Rewards and Bolts, Explained
The chain's loyalty program is called Black Rock Rewards, and its points are called bolts. The rules below come from the program's own terms and FAQ pages, read October 28, 2026.
The Numbers That Are Published
| Rule | What the terms say |
|---|---|
| Free drink threshold | 200 bolts convert to a free hot, iced, or blended drink, any size |
| Welcome reward | A free medium drink when you join |
| Birthday reward | A free medium drink |
| Bolt expiry | Bolts expire after 180 days of account inactivity |
| Reward expiry | Free drink rewards expire 60 days after they are loaded, per the terms |
The Number That Is Not Published
How many bolts you earn per dollar is not stated in the program terms we read. Coupon sites print a rate, but it does not appear in the chain's own text, so this page does not repeat it as fact. We re-check the terms when this page is updated and will add the rate the moment the chain publishes it.
Is the Program Worth It?
On the verified math alone: a free any-size drink at 200 bolts is a strong reward tier, because any-size includes the large blended signatures that top this menu's price list, like the Blended I.V. at $9.10 to $10.65. Whether the program pays off for you depends on the earn rate the chain has not published, and on ordering through the app, since rewards live there.
